Below is a letter from Marian and more information about The Sacred Ripple.

Do you lack HOPE?

Where do you put your HOPE?

Are you stuck in a pit of grief?

Do you wonder if or when God is going to RESTORE your life?

"Watching my precious eleven year old son Jesse lose his battle to cancer after three years of treatment, just forty days after my dad died unexpectedly, having my husband of twenty-six years leave a year after our son’s funeral, while at the same time my mom was fighting lung cancer, only to live for another year; seemed like too much for anyone to handle.

Yet, in the middle of mind-numbing grief, HOPE happened-undeniable, lasting HOPE!

I wish I could tell you that I’m never sad and I don’t still cry a lot; but that is not the case. I believe too many times pain that is stuffed away, kept inside, not exposed, doesn’t have the chance to heal. I love the picture in my mind that my dear friend and pastor gave me: When your heart is broken it has more places for God’s love to flow in.

No, this life is not perfect, yet I live a full life and I am filled with joy; a joy that I’ve come to realize is not the same as happiness. True joy can only be attained as part of the fruit of the Spirit. (Galatians 5:22)

I stand on God’s promise in 2 Corinthians 12:9: “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weakness, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. What more could I want!

The Sacred Ripple was written to give God the glory He deserves and to encourage you that even when this life leaves you empty and you are thinking that “there is no hope”, you can have the Blessed Assurance-a confidence-a firm foundation that will be your hope.

As people of faith, believers in Jesus Christ, we are becoming sanctified-more like Him while we wait for His return. We stumble, we may fall, but when we keep our eyes on Him, He will lift us up and pour out His blessings on us. He is our heavenly Daddy, our Creator who loves us.

No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love Him.

(1 Corinthians 2:9 NLT)

The Sacred Ripple may be “my story” but it’s “your story” too. It’s truth from His Word to give you HOPE, to be reminded to see Him in your ordinary every day activities. He’s there and He wants to RESTORE your life and be your HOPE.

Be blessed reading. I’d love to hear from you and pray with you. Thank You.

In His Love,
Marian Newell"

SNEAK PEAK from the Forward of The Sacred Ripple

One final thought, if you ever lose something precious and valuable to you, the loss is very great. However, if you find it after having lost it, that precious thing becomes even more valuable to you. There are things in this life that we lose and things that we are asked to let go of. Jesus said it this way: “Truly I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or farms, for My sake and for the gospel's sake, but that he will receive a hundred times as much now in the present age, houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and farms, along with persecutions; and in the age to come, eternal life” (Mark 10:29-30, NASB). This is Marian’s story—her trust in Jesus’ promise. The evidence that she shares with us that He is restoring her both now in this life and in the life to come.

REVIEWS

“Marian Newell has written from her heart about her personal journey. God was with her during the trial of her son Jesse’s sickness and death. She
brings you along with her through suffering and fear to joy and trust in Jesus
Christ. This devotional will encourage you to face the difficulties of life with
confidence that Jesus is our strength in the midst of our weakness.”

"The Sacred Ripple takes us on a journey and allows us to experience how the life of a boy named Jesse impacted so many others.  Through tears, hope, and joy we see how God continually reveals Himself through relationships, and touches the heart of a mother whose faith endured the most difficult of trials, as she became a witness and testimony of God’s redeeming love."
